Leading Brisbane funds management and advisory firm DDH Graham Limited has signed up to distribute client account information through InvestmentLink's e-Portfolio data service.
The agreement allows DDH Graham to distribute client account information to any adviser that uses DDH Graham, whether the adviser is already serviced by InvestmentLink or not.
Advisers that use DDH Graham's products will receive daily updates of client account activity into whichever adviser software they use. This presents a "no barriers to entry" strategy for DDH's sales team.
Mr Robert Corben, InvestmentLink's Head of Advice Distribution, said fund managers were quickly identifying with these kinds of outsourced solutions because they were faster to market, highly efficient and cost significantly less than alternative internal proprietary systems.
InvestmentLink's web-based e-Portfolio Consolidation Service already tracks about $45 billion daily for about 9000 financial planners and advisers through more than 100 licensee groups. It has connections to all popular software products on the market.
DDH Graham's Executive Director, Mr Peter Lockhart, said: "We've seen the demand from our advisers for the electronic supply of client account information increase over the past year.
"We believe that the service provided by InvestmentLink is a cost-effective component in ensuring the competitive nature of our products. We were keen to avoid the mistakes of building, maintaining and supporting multiple software systems when a single interface with InvestmentLink is available and provides the same result."
Mr Corben said: "I am pleased to welcome DDH Graham to the ranks of our recent and long-term clients, alongside major players such as Challenger, ING, Perpetual, BT and Colonial.
"We are seeing very strong demand in the financial services industry for shared e-commerce solutions. The management and distribution of client data is one of the significant headaches experienced throughout the wealth management sector by both product suppliers and the advisers who need the information.
"An outsourced solution allows businesses to focus on core revenue activities and client service, and leave data distribution to InvestmentLink."
